Location
Łagów is a small but very popular vacation destination, called "The Pearl of the Lubuskie Region". The town is situated between two clean lakes in the middle of an old beech forest. A medieval castle built by the Order of St. John in the 14th century, on a hill surrounded by a park where the two lakes join, gives a specific character to the town. The conference venue is the "Leśnik" Holiday House, where Wi-Fi, tennis courts, a gym, a volleyball court, and a private beach and swimming area are available.

Travel and Transportation
Łagów Lubuski is located near the A2 motorway, halfway between Poznań and Berlin. The nearest airports are located in Poznań and Berlin. Łagów Lubuski has no rail link and can only be reached by bus. The nearest railway station is located in Świebodzin (22 km). There is quite a lot of direct train connections from Poznań to Świebodzin (see the schedule) and from Berlin to Świebodzin (see the schedule). Due to the convenient train connections from Poznań and Berlin to Świebodzin and its proximity to Łagów, we strongly recommend choosing this trip option. Łagów Lubuski can be reached from Świebodzin by bus (see the schedule). The bus station in Świebodzin is located in close proximity of the train station (about 100 m). On Sunday, 8 September, there will be 2 direct buses to Łagów - at 10:30 and 14:25 hrs. Tickets can be bought from the bus driver. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes. The taxi fare for the Świebodzin-Łagów route (22 km) is around 30 EUR. We plan to provide complimentary bus shuttles from the train station in Świebodzin on Sunday, 8 September, at 14:00, 16:00 and 18:30 hrs.

We kindly ask the participants interested in the complimentary transportation to book a seat on the bus by sending the confirming email to the Conference Secretariat dps2013@uz.zgora.pl, not later than 31 July. Please indicate in the email which bus course (14:00, 16:00, 18:30 hrs) you are interested in.




Hotels
Please note that conference participants must book their hotel rooms themselves. Łagów Lubuski is a very popular and busy place at the time of the conference, thus we encourage you to make your hotel reservations as soon as possible. The centre of Łagów Lubuski is small. There is a short distance from each hotel to the conference venue. We recommend the "Leśnik" Holiday House since the conference will be held there. There are, however, two other hotels in close proximity to the conference venue. Below is the list of recommended hotels:
